We are a local accounting firm that specializes in small businesses. The firm has 16 permanent employees, eight located in Sioux Falls and eight in Dell Rapids. History
Lowell Klanderud started a one-man accounting firm in Sioux Falls in 1964,
later joining with Mary Montoya in 1975. Montoya became a partner in 1977 and the two formed Klanderud & Montoya, PC.
Clair Wuebben opened a sole proprietorship in Dell Rapids in 1977 and
joined with Mark Feehan in 1982. In 1984, Clair and Mark formed Wuebben & Feehan, PC.
The two companies merged in 1985 to form Klanderud, Montoya, Wuebben & Feehan, PC.
In December 2005, the firm changed their name to acknowledge change in leadership while
staying connected to the company’s past. Lowell Klanderud retired in the late 1980s and Mary Montoya
retired in April 2006. Nordell Griebel became a shareholder in the firm in 2001 and
Justin Schneider in 2007. Mary Pat Mullen became the newest shareholder in 2010.
In 2000, the company launched KMWF Financial Services, LLC, a division aimed at meeting its
clients investment and insurance needs.
